My Space Launches Ad Funded Album
Punk band, Pennywise have been signed up to My Space's record label. Friends of Textango, their music marketing agent will be able to download the album for free in return for being exposed to targeted marketing messages.
Last word: Another experiment with free content being subsidised by marketing dollars. It remains to be seen whether the economics work out - or indeed whether Pennywise are any good either.
